Well, I decided to take advantage of my On Demand button ( I LOVE ON DEMAND)! I have caught up with everything I missed on Haven, and wow. Poor Duke. I read someone on another site say that they think everyone thinks Audrey has to kill Nathan because of what happened to Duke. He killed his brother and his curse was cured, but that’s part of their trouble. When they kill a troubled person, the curse of their family dies too. I’m amazed that these people have a son and have not even thought of trying to find him.
Faced with the same situation that Audrey was, I’d have pretended to be someone else too. So she and Nathan finally hooked up, again poor Duke. I can’t believe Vince hasn’t caught on to Audrey yet, though I’m sure it won’t take long. I would think they need to figure out who Audrey really is or what and how that relates to the troubles before they can find a way to end them. They are so hyped up to kill Nathan but they aren’t really sure that will work. Once he’s dead it’s a little late.
So who is this Jen girl, and why did Howard give her up for adoption. Perhaps Audrey’s replacement somehow? I wonder if she is immune to the troubles like Audrey, and who are her parents? Lots of questions, and I’m sure James and Arla will show up eventually. The guard will find out about Audrey soon, then things will get crazy, who’s side will Dwight be on? Guess we’ll have to watch and see.
Ding dong Jordan is dead! Wow, good season. Audrey’s back! Yay! Is it just me or does she play Duke a little? I fell asleep last week again 😦 However, this weeks episode was pretty awesome. People start seeing a countdown and all the sudden rigor mortis sets in and they are stone dead. There is a new school only for the non-troubled kids, though now that the principal was one of the one’s that was killed, maybe that will fold. I doubt it. Lexie outed herself to Nathan as Audrey right after he started seeing the countdown himself. They realize it’s the electronics guy that was causing it all and who shows up at his shop but Jordan and Wade. They get the guy a date so he’ll stop killing people and save Nathan. Then he’s all happy he has a date and Wade comes in and kills him for his blood, so he can be like Duke. He runs out and Duke begs Nathan to let him take care of him, and since they’re besties now Nathan lets him. Duke takes off after Wade, but loses him. Jordan decides to leave since she created a monster much worse than the troubles, just as Vince predicted. Before leaving she unties Vince and goes to talk to Wade, who wants to feel her up with rubber gloves. She tells him she’s leaving and he kills her for her blood. Who would give an alcoholic super powers? Especially one that is like a heroine addiction. So Wade the serial killer is going to go around killing all the troubled and poor Duke will have to kill him. Hmm, wonder what happens if they get each other’s blood on them? Maybe we’ll find out. Gotta be Wade that dies, if Duke goes I’ll protest.
It’s been way too long since I’ve done this, I had two papers due and tons of school work. I’m still not finished with my school work. Anyway, now that the second episode is tomorrow, I’ll talk about the first episode of the season. The kids are far more adjusted to the zombie apocalypse than the adults, but that makes sense. Blondie has toughened up quite a bit, I wasn’t sure she was going to make it in the beginning. She took her boyfriend’s death better than Daryl did. Everybody loves Daryl, but that makes sense too. Like everyone else I thought that crazy woman in the woods was some new breed of zombie at first. Rick got to see what he could become I guess. She didn’t have kids to look after though. I suppose the governor is feeding the zombies so they will break through the gate. What is with this new disease? Now that that kid coughed in the water supply, people will be dropping off I suppose. What they need is a scientist and a lab, too bad the last one blew himself and his lab up.
I’d say this movie ties with Bram Stoker’s Dracula as my favorite movie! It’s coming on SyFy channel tomorrow at 9pm eastern. I’m so excited! I really need this one on DVD. If you’ve never seen it, it stars Johnny Depp as a dealer of rare books. He gets hired to check the authenticity of a satanic manuscript and all kinds of murder, magick, and craziness ensues. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend it! Reminds me I should make a post about what’s coming on tonight since it’s now the annual 31 days until Halloween celebration on SyFy.
Hmm, “You will be who you want to be” and she stays Lexi. On the bright side, killing Nathan won’t help. So who is William? “We will see each other again.” I think he knew too much to be Arla or James. I don’t think either of them would have known about there being two doors. Nor would they know Jennifer could listen. “I was just allowed to help.” Allowed by who? Who made the barn in the first place and how did Sarah/Lucy/Audrey/Lexi get stuck in there? Why? So many questions. If she’s that old and human, shouldn’t she die without the barn?
A social and scientific study of The Walking Dead and what we can learn from it, a free course you can do online. According to the website, the topics include:
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs—is survival just about being alive?
Social order and structures—from the farm and the prison to Woodbury
Social identity, roles, and stereotyping—as shown through leaders like Rick and the Governor
The role of public health in society—from the CDC to local community organizations
The spread of infectious disease and population modeling—swarm!
The role of energy and momentum in damage control—how can you best protect yourself?
Nutrition in a post-apocalyptic world—are squirrels really good for you?
Managing stress in disaster situations—what’s the long-term effect of always sleeping with one eye open?
It’s not exactly how to survive the zombie apocalypse, but sounds interesting nonetheless. I would totally take this if I wasn’t already getting my Master’s degree in Leadership and Professional Advancement. If you want to check it out for yourself click here to go to the website.
